Ethel Laczko

Ethel Laczko is a National Board Certified Teacher, currently teaching for the World Language Department at Cabrillo High School in Long Beach, CA.  Up to last year Ethel was an elementary teacher, reading specialist, Master Teacher, and mentor to other teachers in the same district.  She is passionate about education.  Ethel is currently serving as Board Director for the Harvard Club of Southern California and Chairperson for the Latino Graduates.  

Ethel is also the Founder and Executive Director of Global Education Peru: A Center for Equity and Quality in Education, a non-profit organization that is bent on building libraries in rural areas of Peru. Ethel has done extensive teacher training in Peru as part of her belief that students need to be prepared to embrace the global world through standard-based education and best practices.
